inspiration

My main inspiration is the late Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a meditation master and all round extraordinary human being who escaped from Tibet, following the Chinese invasion in 1959, finally settling in North America (via India & Great Britain) where he shared a vision and innovative methods for appreciating every aspect of our apparently problematic lives, without hiding behind the robes of mystical exotic.

Recognising that, in spite of sharing much in common as human beings with Tibetans, in the modern world, many things for us are profoundly different – psychologically, culturally and environmentally – which necessitated stepping beyond the cosy cocoon of many traditional approaches whilst being totally authentic to the essence of the wisdom of his training – one strand of which he described as the ‘Mishap Lineage’ – hence mishaporama and appreciating every detail of life – even the uncomfortable ones.
