Recognising that, in spite of sharing much in common as human beings with Tibetans, in the modern world, many things for us are profoundly different – psychologically, culturally and environmentally – which necessitated stepping beyond the cosy cocoon of many traditional approaches whilst being totally authentic to the essence of the wisdom of his training – one strand of which he described as the ‘Mishap Lineage’ – hence mishaporama and appreciating every detail of life – even the uncomfortable ones.

inspiration
My main inspiration is the late Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, a meditation master and all round extraordinary human being who escaped from Tibet, following the Chinese invasion in 1959, finally settling in North America (via India & Great Britain) where he shared a vision and innovative methods for appreciating every aspect of our apparently problematic lives, without hiding behind the robes of mystical exotic.
